Eric loves foreign films, and watches several every week. He helps clients turn their design projects into blockbusters.
Designer Eric Bemberess has a sharp eye for the unusual – a great quality, considering that he once worked as a security screener at a major international airport. “I’ve seen some interesting things,” Eric said. “I tried to be discrete.”
Today Eric puts that eye for detail to work on a wide range of projects including computer animation, special effects, video editing, websites, and a variety of programming languages. “My talents are really broad,” he explained. “You name it, I do it.”
Eric, who earned a BA in Industrial Technologies from San Francisco State University, has more than 13 years of design and marketing experience. At ipsh! Corporation, he helped develop effective mobile marketing campaigns for clients including Madonna, Nelly, Starburst, HBO, Warner Music Group, EMI, Sony, ABC/Disney and Reebok. While running his own consulting firm, he developed large print advertising campaigns, designed books and collaborated to build complex websites. In one memorable assignment, he produced and animated a key 3D sequence for the film Big Mouth – a project he could really sink his teeth into. Eric joined the ROI Communication team in 2010.
“I like the creative aspects of what I do,” he said. “At the beginning of any project, there’s a blank page. It can be scary. But that scary space is also the fun spot. Anything is possible. And that’s often when something really incredible can emerge.”
When he’s not busy animating or programming, Eric likes to volunteer in his community. He has worked with many non-profit organizations and helped produce San Francisco’s “Funky Float Race,” a regatta of unconventional watercraft.
