Ana Lilia has always been a determined communicator. From the start of her career with CEMEX as a communication analyst, she saw the opportunity for the company to bring more of the employee’s perspective to its internal communications. The due diligence she performed on CEMEX’s communication in her early years at the company led her to a role as an advisor in engagement, culture and recruitment. In this role at CEMEX, Ana Lilia proposed and supported strategies to enhance engagement, productivity and retention of the company’s diverse workforce globally. She designed communication strategies from the perspective of the employee and increased the understanding of HR programs.
Ana Lilia began to build her international resume when she worked for CEMEX’s UK and Spanish divisions. This experience reinforced for her the need to engage employees in the creation of internal communication messages in order to indentify commonalities across regions and to enable corporate headquarters to speak with a universal voice.
Earlier in her career, Ana Lilia helped CEMEX merge three regional brands into CEMEX Concretos. Here she designed the brand strategy for CEMEX ReadyMix and increased brand recognition 18% and national sales 40%.
Ana Lilia graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. She holds a master’s degree in Corporate Communications and Advertising from the ESIC: Business & Marketing School.
When Ana Lilia is not crafting new internal communication campaigns, she is enjoying the beauty of Monterrey.
