Zoë is a passionate photographer. As a communications consultant, she never loses focus on the details, yet always keeps the big picture in mind.
After nearly a decade in the British legal profession, Zoë Glover decided to apply her analytical, writing and problem-solving skills in a new way and shifted into the communications field.
“Law is really about communication,” she said. “It requires acute observation, knowledge, reason and the ability to present your case clearly and persuasively. Ultimately, if you’re not communicating effectively, you won’t achieve your client’s goals.”
Zoë, who is originally from England, joined ROI Communication in 2010. She earned a Bachelor of Law, with Honors, from the Nottingham Law School, and began her career in a law firm focused on criminal and family law. Subsequent positions at two other British firms enabled her to develop expertise in clinical negligence and employment law, and to hone her skills in writing, research and negotiation.
Later, as an officer at Britain’s Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Zoë investigated allegations of professional misconduct against members and students around the globe, and specialized in marshaling evidence and writing legal briefs. In addition to these roles, she developed and supervised a training program for new investigating officers.
Zoë also directed the association’s Social and Charity Events Committee, successfully planning and executing large and complex events.
After moving to the United States in 2008, Zoë pursued training as a mediator, and was certified by the National Association of Certified Mediators. “Mediation is all about facilitating communication. It’s about looking at problems objectively, helping people verbalize their views, and working through differences together to reach a mutually acceptable solution,” Zoë said. “Even informally, this skill is essential for cultivating successful working relationships.” At ROI Communication, she applies these skills to meet client challenges that are, thankfully, much less contested.
When she’s not consulting with clients, Zoë enjoys cooking, working out, yoga, mountain biking and snowboarding.
