Jaylene Harvey credits her accounting background –
she’s a Certified Public Accountant – with her keen sense of
business. And it’s this same analytical approach that serves her
well as a communications consultant in a challenging economy,
helping companies maximize performance through clear, credible
and compelling communication with their teams.
"I’m very good at bringing people together to identify
solutions and get the work done," she said. "You have to bring
out everybody’s skills and deliver something that’s better than
any single person could do on their own."
Jaylene began her career as an accountant and marketing
assistant in Utah, then became a Supervising Senior Tax
Consultant for Ernst & Young in California. Next, she moved into
the tech industry as a cost and inventory analyst for Chips &
Technologies, and later Intel. In this capacity, she found
herself more and more engaged in marketing and – increasingly
often – internal communications.
For the past ten years, Jaylene worked as an independent
communications consultant, primarily for Hewlett-Packard. Among
other initiatives, she helped develop and lead internal and
external marketing programs, successfully managed complex award
applications, coordinated marketing campaigns, and managed the
content and publication of e-newsletters in multiple languages.
"I like communications because it uses all my skills – my
analytical, my creative and my people skills," she said
Jaylene, a graduate of the University of Utah and a CPA,
joined ROI Communication in 2010. When she’s not working with
clients, Jaylene might be found on one of her frequent trips
abroad, perhaps Paris. She said that traveling always gives her
a fresh perspective – something that she always brings to work
on her return. |
