A distance runner, Christy carried the Olympic Torch as it approached the opening ceremonies of the 2000 Winter Games in Salt Lake City. At work, she always helps light the way, turning challenges into opportunities.

Christy Lang believes that people make smarter decisions, collaborate better and feel more energized when they know that their work makes a difference in people’s lives. And for more than two decades, she’s been helping organizations communicate more clearly so that people understand the impact of their work and how it fits into a bigger picture.
Christy has deep experience in managing change. She has led or facilitated strategic planning initiatives, large mergers and acquisitions, executive leadership transitions, employee training, team-building exercises and cultural transformations. Her clients have included Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Agilent, Hess, Consumers Union, the California State Automobile Association, Symantec, Xilinx, Safeway and Stanford University, among others.
Currently, Christy leads a team of ROI consultants working on a wide variety of projects for multiple business units, functions and cross-functional teams at a major global technology company. Collaborating with executives and managers, her team helps streamline and integrate acquisitions, strengthen professional communities, develop internal communications strategies and governance, and facilitate organizational and cultural transformation.
“The companies we work for are large, global and complex,” she said. “I like to make it easier for employees to connect with each other and their company leadership, so everyone can make better decisions, individually and together. This way, the business can focus on its priorities and reach its goals a lot faster.”
Christy joined ROI in 2003, after serving as senior director for Employee Communications and Community Relations at Cadence Design Systems. Before her tenure at Cadence, Christy led worldwide employee communications and community relations for Amdahl Corporation (now a part of Fujitsu). She also served as a senior writer and communications strategist for Gerhard Casper, then president of Stanford University.
Christy earned a BA in English from Lewis and Clark College and an MA in English Literature from the University of Washington. When she’s not helping clients, Christy likes to run, play tennis, work in her garden, travel, visit with family and friends and volunteer with animal support and social services organizations. She is past vice president of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, and a member of the Council for Communication Management and the International Association of Business Communicators.
