One of
Sandie Marrinucci’s favorite aspects of corporate communication is figuring
out how to engage and motivate people, and she’s spent nearly 20 years
honing those skills.
"I have a passion for helping employees understand what’s going on
strategically in the company, and how their day-to-day activities can help
the company achieve its goals," Sandie said.
Sandie
began her career in marketing at Digital Equipment Corporation and then
applied her writing and marketing skills at Quantic Communications. Later,
she was hired as director of marketing communications at NECX, the
industry’s first online marketplace for computer products, before moving on
to Compaq, Hewlett-Packard and EDS, where she served as an Executive
Communications Manager. In these various capacities, she developed strategic
communication plans, websites, podcasts, webcasts, and social media tools on
a broad range of projects and initiatives. She also managed advertising,
public relations and events – many of which significantly increased employee
participation, engagement and understanding of company goals.
At ROI,
Sandie puts this deep expertise to work for a range of clients, always
seeking new and effective ways to engage an audience, from on-line treasure
maps to executive round-tables and podcasts. One unique approach Sandie has
used in leadership and communication training is pairing people with horses,
with a facilitator directing the interaction.
"Horses
are highly attuned to the emotions and environment around them," she said.
"As such, they can teach us to be more effective, authentic communicators."
An avid equestrian herself, Sandie also volunteers to help children and
adults with physical and mental limitations increase their strength,
confidence and self-esteem through riding. |
