Amy Messing is a seasoned internal communication strategist and manager, with more than two decades of experience in senior communication positions at JPMorgan Chase, Prudential, American Express and The Chase Manhattan Bank.
Since joining the ROI Communication team in 2007, Amy has worked with a global health and beauty company to transform communication within its international IT organization by standardizing processes, strengthening executive communications and establishing a clearer picture for employees in a time of rapid change.
"Essentially, I'm a translator," she said. "I help leaders
translate abstract ideas to engage and motivate the
rank-and-file. People need to understand the organization's
goals and their role in achieving them, if their team hopes to
succeed."
Amy has helped companies explain and implement complex business process reorganizations, change initiatives and organizational transitions. A strong writer, Amy has also created and launched corporate intranet sites, and helped senior executives develop communication strategies that achieved excellent results.
Amy, who earned a B.S. in Psychology from Clark University and a M.A. in Art Therapy from George Washington University, is an adjunct professor at New York University, where she teaches a graduate-level course in grant writing.
