Alex Pagonis specializes in driving strategic corporate initiatives and facilitating organizational transitions through the deployment of research-based, high-impact communication vehicles. His multifaceted experience in the strategic communications arena allows him to identify creative solutions, streamline efficiencies, successfully manage processes and resources and provide thoughtful, strategic counsel to his clients. His background includes corporate branding and reputation building, launching strategic initiatives, managing the implementation of new systems and business solutions, maximizing technology ROI, supporting HR and industrial relations communications, and developing public relations, marketing and advertising campaigns.
Alex brings 12 years of integrated in-house and agency communications management experience to ROI. Prior to joining ROI, Alex worked as a consultant at Fleishman Hillard International Communications, supporting the internal/external communications functions of some of the agency’s largest West Coast clients, including Visa USA, AT&T, Bayer and Marine Terminals Corporation. Before his work at FH, Alex was a change management agent and corporate communications representative at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He also directed communications and operations for the Leakey Foundation, an international nonprofit organization, and was a management consultant with Geonexus Communications, where he developed and delivered organizational and intercultural training workshops for Fortune 500 clients.
Alex holds a bachelor’s of international relations and a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from San Francisco State University. His knowledge of several languages – including Greek, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German – and extensive international and cross-cultural experience complement the breadth of his communications expertise.
