In 19 years as a communications professional, Sandy Pfaff has worked
on a broad range of challenging initiatives including public relations,
marketing, HR and internal communications. As diverse as these are, though,
Sandy sees a common thread. "At its simplest, good communication is about
connecting people and building relationships," she said. "My role is to
connect people with new ideas that can help their organization improve the
bottom line."
Before joining ROI Communication in 2009, Sandy worked at Peppercom
Strategic Communications in San Francisco, and spent more than a decade with
Ketchum West. Her tenure at Ketchum included five years leading business
development efforts for the agency on the West Coast, and prior to that role
she managed accounts that included Visa, Nike, Fireman's Fund Insurance
Company and Intuit.
At ROI, Sandy puts all of this experience to work for new clients. "In
times like these, companies really need to strengthen their communication to
keep people informed and motivated," she said. "Transparency counts. Even if
the news is bad, hearing it helps reduce people’s anxiety."
Sandy graduated from Connecticut College with a B.A. in Urban Studies. A
devoted punster, she’s fleet in other ways, too – often competing in
marathons and triathlons in pursuit of new challenges and better results.
Sandy holds leadership roles at a number of non-profit organizations in
the San Francisco Bay Area. She serves on the Board of American Cancer
Society's California Division and is on the Board of the Public Relations
Society of America Silicon Valley Chapter. She also works on marketing and
communications initiatives for Professional BusinessWomen of California. |
