After more than a decade of consulting experience at Fortune 500
companies, Dr. Tina Rosenblum explains the complexities of
corporate internal communication in the simplest of terms.
"Internal communication is about removing ambiguity from the
workplace," she said. "And if you get rid of the emotional
anxiety associated with ambiguity, you free up people to become
more creative and productive."
Tina knows the business of communication, and the communication
of business. With a Ph.D. in developmental psychology, she takes
a rigorously analytical approach to internal communication,
without losing the human touch. "Effective communication should
be simple, honest and credible – and if at all possible, fun."
Grounded in
behavioral and cognitive psychology, Tina focuses on how people
access, organize and process information, and how groups use
information when solving problems together. She has led the
design and execution of major change communication and
organizational development initiatives; developed and
implemented communication training programs and counseled
executives on the use of effective communication, among other
projects.
Before joining ROI
in 2005, Tina worked with several internal and change management
consultancies for clients that included Delta Air Lines,
Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, Georgia Pacific, Pharmacia
Corporation, The New York Times, The World Bank, the
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority and Young &
Rubicam.
Tina, who
graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College, earned a PhD in
developmental psychology at Cornell University.
